After working for an insurance company, I have noticed that these companies have a lot in common with religions.
#1 They sell you salvation from catastrophe
#2 They say they will be there for you no matter what
#3 They guarantee that their financial vehicles are the only ones that can take you from point A to point B
#4 They judge other companies and point fingers in a dual standard manner
#5 They use your money to invest it in their best interest, not yours.
Any similarities with religious practices?

in the end, do they really offer salvation and peace unto the world? hmm...I wonder...
Of course they don't offer anything that is not first serving their institutional interests... What do you believe in?
