That is a little strange
I think that it is kind of suspicious that the bookstore does not allow anyone in the textbook section. I think if textbook companies offered better prices they would not have to engage in such anti free market behavior. That in itself is a perfect example of how people like free markets only at their convenient discretion.

They don't let you into the textbook section? Now, that's communist! I know how much they don't like it when students write down ISBN numbers, but I do it every semester anyways - why should I have to pay outrageous prices when I can go online and buy books from other students? The bookstore buys books from students for ridiculously low prices (they have offered me $1 for a book before) and then they mark it up to $30! It's really frustrating.
Yes! I got kicked out once. The lady who did the kicking-out was very crabby, so I was pretty frosty right back. If I remember right, I told her the whole thing was "silly."
Anyway, I'm glad/frustrated to hear I'm not the only person who's had trouble with this bookstore-shenanigans.
